UNAM Foundation Award for Pharmaceutical Innovation 2017

For the second consecutive year, the UNAM Foundation, the Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) and the Mexican Pharmaceutical Council (CFM) launch the call for the “UNAM Foundation for Pharmaceutical Innovation 2017”.

National and foreign graduates may take part in the following areas: Mathematical Sciences-Physics, Engineering, Biological, Chemical and Health Sciences of UNAM.

This award aims to stimulate and recognize the research work, in terms of pharmaceutical innovation and devices for health, which is carried out inside the Maximum House of Studies.


The interested parties will be able to register, individually or as a team, the work with which they obtained their professional degree or academic degree at UNAM, whose subjects are focused on:

  • Infectious or parasitic diseases
  • Neoplasms
  • Chronic degenerative diseases
  • Reproductive health
  • Mental health
  • Cardiovascular diseases
  • Respiratory diseases
  • Biopharmaceutical products
  • Mental health
  • Registration can be made through the portals of Fundación UNAM (www.fundacionunam.org.mx), Cofepris (www.cofepris.gob.mx) and the Mexican Pharmaceutical Council (www.cofarmex.org.mx).

The reception of works will take place at the offices of Fundación UNAM, located in Pennsylvania # 203, Col. Naples, Del. Benito Juárez, C.P. 03810, Mexico City. The deadline is March 31, 2017.


The winners will receive the following prizes:

Bachelor’s degree:

  1. 70 thousand pesos
  2. 50 thousand pesos
  3. 30 thousand pesos

  2. 150 thousand pesos
  3. 100 thousand pesos
